Scholarship Committee

The Harrisena Community Church supports the continuing education of our youth through an annual scholarship program awarded to 3-5 students who show a commitment to family, community and church. Scholarships are awarded to students entering into different technical, academic, or trade industries that may require some assistance for tuition, books, and living expenses.

Students are required to complete an in-depth and informative application that requires strong attention to detail. All applications are reviewed by the scholarship committee for completeness and detail to the required questions. There are no specialty and/or specific disciplines to which a scholarship is awarded. They are awarded to students who successfully complete the applications and meet rigorous criteria. Each year roughly 3-5 applicants are awarded a scholarship ranging from $500.00 to $1,000.00. Past applicants, awardees, and new applicants are encouraged to apply each year.
